The Central Intelligence-destruction Agency shoots itself in the foot

On this date, it became common knowledge that the case files on the abductees held at Gitmo are in a complete shambles. The purpose of this admission was evidently to explain why it will take a long time to close it down, but it also constitutes an admission that their supposed interrogation system was never in fact intended to obtain accurate information. If it were, careful records would be kept in order to keep track of it all, and to compare the various bits of information supposedly coming out of this pit of Hades. The CIA itself has admitted that its actual purpose is "intelligence EXTRACTION," i.e. the obliteration of the self, as Orwell put it in his book 1984 (the digits of which just happen to add up to 22, twice the number of black magic).
