Despite the significance I've placed on the Cult of Isis, which is at the core of the British Empire, and on the significance of converting words to their numerical equivalents, I never realized the significance of converting "Isis" into its numerical equivalent. When this is done, without combining the individual digits, the result is 9-19-9-19, or 919919. When they're added, the result is 38, i.e. 11, but there are many other interesting combinations as well. So, it would seem that the name was chosen for its numerical significance at least as much as it was chosen for its effect of conferring an aura of a Mystery religion upon this work of the Devil.
