Queen Elizabeth, figurehead of mankind's anchor

"In a changing and churning world, you are an anchor for our age," Ban said of the queen in his remarks before the General Assembly. "Your reign spans the decades. From the challenges of the Cold War to the threat of global warming. From the Beatles to Beckham."

An anchor indeed, dragging us ever further down. That churning, by the way, is probably the work of British Intelligence, as was the Cold War and the "threat" of "global warming." (Note that Her Royal Highness just happened to show up and put in a plug for "global warming" when a heat wave hit NYC, the media capital of the US.) The main threat from "global warming" are the laws which Congress might pass, using it as an excuse.
