Too bad Loughner isn't a Muslim

If the Tucson massacre weren't a black op, I think that a lot of the blame can be laid at the feet of the "war on terror," which has programmed us to expect terrorism to come from people of the Islamic persuasion, who can become persons of interest for the most innocuous activities. In Loughner's case, the warning signs were so overwhelming, and the response so underwhelming, that it's hard to believe that he wasn't being protected by some intelligence agency working with the sheriff's department.

It would be interesting to learn whether someone convinced Giffords that she didn't need to worry about security. Perhaps someone on her staff knows.
