Government shutdown: Another taste of the planned dark age

WASHINGTON, April 6 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama asked U.S. congressional leaders from both parties to the White House on Wednesday for an urgent round of budget talks to avert a government shutdown.

With the clock ticking toward a midnight Friday deadline, Obama invited House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner, a Republican, and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid to meet him at 8:45 p.m. EDT (0045 GMT on Thursday) for another round of talks.

One benefit of a government shutdown is that we get to see what our "leaders" consider to be essential functions, and naturally, waging war on civilization is one of them. Saving the economy by implementing Glass-Steagall and issuing credit for crucial projects (as opposed to issuing credit for literal gambling debts owed by bankers) is undoubtedly not even on the list of non-essential functions. Their top priority, depopulating the planet, is behind everything they do, including killing time by pretending to play chicken over the shutdown. It's a masterpiece of choreography by our real government.
