KSM's hopes of a fair trial dashed - who'd have guessed?

Heavily tortured Guantanamo detainee Khalid Shaikh Mohammed was supposed to be the most “slam dunk” case the Obama Administration had to present to the civilian courts. He was, after all, the confessed “mastermind” behind the September 11 attacks.
One should not be astonished that the late George Orwell conceived his 1984 novel after a period of exposure to a group of Rees's followers.

Well, first off, it just wouldn't do to let any truth leak out in a Manhattan courtroom about the absurdity of the notion that KSM was the mastermind of 9/11, would it?

Another aspect of Obama's about-face is that it's PART OF "the 9/11 mastermind's" torment/torture, which includes repeatedly raising his hopes and then dashing them. The goal is to compel KSM, like Winston Smith in 1984, to surrender his free will.

So, KSM will remain in that R&D lab for soul-destruction run by literally diabolical Reesian shrinks, from where we will hear that he once again "confessed," with the constant threat of Room 101 (from 1984) hanging over his head. Note that "101" is a sort of numerical pictogram of the Devil - a head and two horns, and a variation on 11, the number of black magic, the ultimate goal of which is to literally split off the higher souls of mankind and thus destroy us forever. So, Room 101 signifies "the obliteration of the self," as Orwell put it.
