Is SkyTran a scam?
A while back, I learned of the existence of SkyTran, which sounds too good to be true, and it might just be. I've recently read that it's a scam, and in retrospect, I find it suspicious that there are no demonstration systems (a simple track with a couple of switches would suffice), and that my attempt to learn some details about its track-switching technology were rebuffed, supposedly due to patent processing, although it would have been in process for years.
I'm still willing to entertain the possibility that it is a real system, but now I'm skeptical. I'm also aware that those with a vested interest in maintaining the status quo would not hesitate to undermine SkyTran's reputation with disinformation.
