Al Qaeda, the British empire's all-purpose "Islamic militants"

SANAA, Yemen (AP) — An airstrike Sunday killed a top al-Qaida leader on the FBI's most wanted list for his role in the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole warship, Yemeni officials said. The airstrike resembled earlier U.S. drone attacks, but the U.S. did not immediately confirm it.
Local Yemeni official Abu Bakr bin Farid and the Yemeni Embassy in Washington confirmed al-Quso was killed in Rafd, a remote mountain valley in Shabwa. It is the area where many of al-Qaida leaders are believed to have taken cover, including the U.S.-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, killed in a U.S. airstrike in Yemen last year.
Yemeni government officials reported that Al-Quso and al-Awlaki were killed in an airstrike in 2009 in Rafd, BUT THEY BOTH RESURFACED ALIVE.

James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence, said in a Senate hearing on May 3 that the recent attacks in Damascus and Aleppo, "had all the earmarks of an al Qaeda-like attack," in that they were targeted at security and intelligence buildings in its choice of targets. "We believe that al Qaeda in Iraq is extending its reach into Syria," said Clapper.
Obama and Blair appear unabashed about their open collaboration with al Qaeda — supposedly the cause of the War on Terror which is used to justify the mass murders and colonial regime change operations across the globe, as well as the push for thermonuclear war.

But oddly, instead of working with the Syrian government to help them defeat Al Qaeda FROM IRAQ (where we supposedly destroyed it), our government will ignore this inconvenient "news" and concentrate on the Syrian government's "repressive" responses. So, this helps to put "Al Qaeda" into perspective as some all-purpose phantom group of "Islamic militants" which the British empire and its US colony uses as an excuse to wage the "war on terror," and which they pretend to kill in order to convince us that they're making progress in this "war."  In some cases (as in Syria), "Al Qaeda" acts as an front for NATO "black ops" terrorists, so that the terrorism can be said to be part of a democratic uprising, and when the government (such as Syria's) acts to protect their nation, the British empire can "justify" some sort of aggression against the government.  The end goal can be regional chaos (as in Libya, some of whose weaponry is now ending up in terrorist hands), or in Syria's case, a world war which would involve nuclear weapons, to simulate "Armageddon."
